Cowley road has long been a hot spot for anti-social behaviour, especially that relating to alchohol. For over 15 years, the community around the Cowley road area have campaigned to get CCTV cameras installed on the street and only now has the campaigning paid off.
The local council have finally agreed, enough is enough and will be funding the installation of two high performance CCTV cameras on Cowley road.

The entire Reebok stadium has recently had a brand new IP based CCTV system installed to help protect players,assisting staff and fans from any criminal activity.
The stadium has recieved 40 IP CCTV cameras, the latest technology in CCTV surveillance that allows for a much more powerful network of cameras.

Two trouble spots on an estate in Oxford will be protected by CCTV systems after the scheme was backed by local business owners.
The area of shops has long had trouble with shop lifting, drug dealing and fighting. After years of attempting to persuade the council to put CCTV cameras in the area, they have finally agreed to go ahead due to the heavy amount of backing by the areas shop owners.

Scotland Yard’s head of homicide recently stated in a survey that CCTV evidence has become as important as DNA and fingerprinting.
The first survey of its kind attempts to determine the importance of CCTV in todays crime investigations.
It was revealed that almost every single murder case uses CCTV footage as some type of evidence. In 90 murder cases over a one year period, 86 cases used CCTV camera footage. Of these 86 cases, 65 of the evidence were of the murder itself or the events leading up to and after it.

After having CCTV evidence of his wrong doing posted on Facebook, the culprit has turned himself in to the police.
The young offender was caught on a pub’s CCTV camera purposely breaking an expensive picture in the hall of the pub. After fleeing from the pub the vandal was shocked to be told by numerous friends that his actions were on Facebook for everyone to see.
