Please read before starting your installation

The equipment shown above is for illustration purposes, the same principles will apply to your system.

  1. Decide on camera locations ? bear in mind the field of view required, also try to avoid (if you can) pointing the CCTV cameras at direct sources of light (bright doorways, windows, lighting, etc.) as this may affect the image quality. Conversely, you should ensure there is sufficient lighting available.
  2. Run, for each camera location, one of the pre-terminated cables supplied, between the camera location and the location of the control equipment (DVR). Ensure the male power plug is at the camera side and the power socket is at the control equipment side. Connect each camera?s ?video out? socket to a ?video input? socket on the DVR via the BLACK BNC (push & twist) lead on the cable supplied (at each end).
  3. Connect each CCTV camera’s power input to the 4 way lead on the 12V power supply via the same cable as above.
  4. Connect the monitor to the DVR using the BNC-BNC/Scart lead supplied, when using a TFT monitor please refer to manufacturers connection instructions.
  5. Connect the DVR’s power supply to the DC19V input on the DVR, once this is done you can connect the DVR, monitor & camera power supply to the mains.
  6. Continue to program the DVR as per the instruction manual. PLEASE NOTE (the manual may ask you to install the hard drive, this has already been done for you and is ready to go).
  7. WARNING: Ensure you DO NOT use the 19V power supply for the recorder to power the cameras, this may cause damage to the cameras (existing customers can call us on 0845 450 2519 if unsure).
