CCTV Used to Prevent Motorway Queues

Between 2008 and 2009 the highways Agency will be introducing CCTV, queue detection systems and variable message signs on motorways.

Laser and radar technology will also be used in conjunction with the CCTV system to remove broken down vehicles from the motorway quicker than ever before.
