A secure 3G network has just been launched called Connect by connectivity service providers Vianet.
The wireless system makes CCTV footage available to remote outdoor locations where wired connectivity is not possible.
The system allows for quicker deployment of wireless cameras and increases the control for accurate positioning. Each camera is assigned a unique address which allows operators to manipulate the cameras from a control room.
The network is capable of delivering speeds of data transmission to keep the quality of images necessary for effective surveillance.
